Why is higher education important?

 In today's economy, the cost of living is higher and jobs want more than a high school diploma. I think higher education is a very important to every human being. However, the rising cost of colleges makes it hard for low-income based students. Personally, I feel like that, there is no excuse for ANYONE to obtain a higher education. Reason being is because there are so many opportunities to receive a higher education. There are grants out here, but the only problem is that some students do not want to take out the time and look. Nothing in life is not free. I hate when I see young African Americans living off the government. I feel like it is a sign of PURE laziness. I feel like they settle for a high school diploma and some may strive for an Associate’s degree. WHY CANT WE RAISE THE BAR FOR OURSELVES AS AFRICAN AMERICANS? I feel like it is never too late to go to school or even finish. WHY KEEP YOURSELF AWAY FROM NEW DEVELPOMENTS? WHY KEEP YOURSELF AWAY FROM LEARNING A NEW SKILL? WHY NOT APPERCIATE THE ART AND CULTURE AROUND US? WHY KEEP YOUR BRAIN FROM THINKING? LETS RAISE THE BAR PEOPLE!!!!!!!
